Setting up Okta Verify on your First Device - Smartphone (Public)

Step 1

• Open up your browser (on any device) and go to hazel.okta.com
• Then open the dropdown menu and click "My Settings"

• On the settings page, click "Manage security methods"

Step 3

• Click the "Set up" button next to Okta Verify

Step 4

• Enter your Okta password when prompted and click "Verify

• Click "Set up" on the next screen
  
  

Step 6

• Now you should see the screen below, leave that tab open and navigate to the Okta Verify app on your phone. 

Step 7

• When you open Okta Verify, it should look like this. 
• Click "Add Account" to get started
  
  

Step 8

• Choose "Organization" on the next page
  
  

Step 9

• Click "Add Account from Another Device"
  
  

Step 10

• Click "Scan QR Code"
  
  

Step 11

• Click "Enable"

Step 12

• At this point, you'll want to go back to the browser tab with the QR code in it. 
  • • If you are using your phone for the browser and the app setup click the "Can't Scan" button and follow those instructions. 
    • If you have the QR code pulled up on a different device, scan the code on the screen
      
      

Step 13

• When you've successfully followed those steps, you will see the following confirmation in your Okta Verify app. 
  
  

Step 14

• After clicking "Done" your app will look like the image below. If you ever need to get a six digit code from the app, you will click on the little eyeball shown in the image.
