Taylor Bath Scale Troubleshooting
- Remove the battery from the scale.
- Set the scale on the floor (no carpet) without the battery in place.
- Stand on the scale for 10 seconds (still without the battery).
- Carefully replace the battery without pressing any buttons or activating the scale.
- Set the scale on the floor (no carpet) with the battery in place.
- Using only one foot, tap the scale or apply just enough pressure to turn on the display. IMMEDIATELY REMOVE YOUR FOOT. (It should show dashes or zeroes.)
- Let the scale turn off.
- Step on the scale for a weight reading.

Reasons why you are getting a bad “unrealistic results” reading:
First try again, if not:
- Nail Polish
- Cold fingers
- Excessive ambient light
- Low battery
- Moving your finger around inside the device
- Not correctly placing your finger inside the device
- Finger must cover the reader inside the device
The test is complete when the numbers stabilize, and should be fairly immediate - there is no notification of when the test is done.

- Clean the lens with rubbing alcohol before and after every use
- Before using the thermometer make sure it has been in the same room as you for at least 30 min.
- To change from C to F, remove the plastic back. Take out the 2 batteries and underneath will be a tiny black switch. Flip the switch upward or downward to change from C to F.

- The thermometer is damaged

- The lens of the probe is dirty
- Clean the lens with a cotton swab
- The distance of the item and target is too far
- Keep the thermometer in contact with forehead, or put the probe into the Ear canal
- You have just come from a cold environment
- Stay in a warmer room for at least 30 min before taking a reading
The reading is too high
- You have just come from a hot environment
- Stay in an adequately cool room for at least 30 min before taking a reading.

- 3 Short beeps and a red-backlit for 3 sec, Take a measurement under ambient temperature between 10 degrees Celsius (50.0 degrees Fahrenheit) and 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit)

- 3 short beeps and red backlit for 3 sec. Request a new one if this persists
