Employee Equipment Setup - Setting Up Your MacBook (Public)

Hello and welcome to Hazel!

Please open your Macbook and follow the step-by-step guide below to complete your device setup.

NOTE: 
You must have completed your account creation in Okta to set up your device
(you will need your Okta password). 

1. Select Your Country or Region
   • Select your country and press “Continue”.
     
     
     
     
2. Accessibility
   • You can enable these options at your own discretion. If you need help enabling these features please reach out to [e-mail].
   • If you do not need these options please select “Not Now”.
     
     
     
     
3. Select Your Wi-Fi Network
   • Please select your Wi-Fi network from the list shown, enter your network password, and select “Continue”.
     
     
     
     
4. Remote Management
   • Please select "Continue". 
     
     
     
     
5. Hazel+Okta Sign-In
   • Please enter the your hazel.co email address.
     
     
     
     
   • Then enter the password you created when following your Okta activation link.
     
     
     
     
6. Enable Location Services
   • Please check the box to enable location services and press "Continue".
     
     
     
     
7. MacBook Log-In Screen
   • Please enter your Hazel email address and Okta password. 
   • Click the arrow or hit enter when finished.
     
     
     
     
8. Enable FileVault
   • Please select "Enable now".
     
     
     
     
9. Accessibility
   
   • Again, you can enable these at your own discretion. Please email us at [e-mail] if you need help doing so.
   • If not, please select "Not Now" to continue. 
     
     
     
     
10. Screen Time
    • No need to do anything here unless you'd like to enable screen time. 
    • Select "Set Up Later" to continue. 
      
      
      
      
11. Touch ID
    • We recommend setting up Touch ID for ease of use. Here's a resource on how to do that if you're interested. 
    • If not, please select "Set Up Touch ID Later".
      
      
      
      
12. Choose Your Look
    • Please select your desired screen appearance setting and press "Continue". 
      
      
      
      
13. Setting Up Your Hazel Mac
    • On this screen your pre-selected apps will install before you can move on. 
      
      
      
      
14. Setup Complete
    • Your device setup is complete.
    • On this page you will see links that will take you to a variety of resources with helpful information and tools. Feel free to browse them at your convenience. 
    • Select "Quit" when done.
      
      
      
      
15. Welcome to Okta Verify
    1. Please select "Get Started".
       
       
       
       
    2. Select "Next".
       
       
       
       
    3. Assuming you've followed the instructions in your Okta activation email;, and setup Okta verify on your phone, please select "Add account from another device".
       
       
       
       
    4. Click "Allow" and "OK" on the following prompt.
       
       
       
       
       
    5. A window will appear asking you to enter an 8-digit code.
       
       
       
       
       •  Open the "Okta Verify" application on your phone
         
         
         
         
       • Select your account.
         
         
         
         
       • Select "Add Account to Another Device".
         
         
         
         
       • The 8-digit code you need to enter on your Macbook screen will appear under the QR code seen on your phone. 
         
         
         
         
    6. Enter that code on your MacBook and a 6-digit code should appear.
       
       
       
       
       • Enter that code on your phone screen.
         
         
         
         
       • If the code was successfully entered you should see an "Enable Touch ID screen". 
       • Again, we recommend enabling Touch ID for future ease of use, but you can choose "Not now" and do this at a later time. 
         
         
         
         
    7. You're done! Your device setup is now complete and you're free to start using your Hazel device!
