Setting up Okta for the first time using your phone:
Typically, authenticating through OKTA can be done via your Hazel laptop or iPad, but you can also have your personal device as another authentication point.
Step 1
Open your email and activate your account
Step 2
Tap "set up" under okta verify
you'll have the option to set up your account via email or text, totally up to you!
Step 3
Tap "Get started" which triggers a biometric notification, enable it.
(If you accidentally skip this via "not now" it can be enabled later, check out the "call out" section at the bottom of this resource)
Step 4
Select the authentication type
Step 5
Once the authentication method is selected, you can revert back to the security methods (step 2) and add a password.
Once your password is set, hit "next" and your OKTA setup is complete.
.....::Call out::......
Double check that your Biometrics tool is turned on. Considering the sensitivity of Hazel's data, many Hazel apps will need to be accessed via OKTA and your Biometric identifier. That setting can be toggled on and off via the OKTA verify app on your phone:
Open up your OKTA verify app, and click on your account
Your OKTA settings will present like this. Click on "Touch ID Confirmation" under Security to toggle on and off the biometric feature.
......::Adding additional devices to authenticate::.......
Any of these MFA factors can be added and removed at anytime via your OKTA "my settings":
Then, click on "security methods"
